Welcome Home Quilt

Welcome Home

My favorite quilts are scrap quilts. They tell so many stories and I'm a lover of great stories.

I made this quilt for my husband from the scraps I had in my collection. This quilt tells tales from the quilt shop my mother and I owned in the 1980s, it tells me about dresses I made for my daughter who is now 21 years-old, and it comforts me in the middle of the night.

The colors make it sparkle and I just love that.

Thanks for letting me share more of my collection and the Show Off Your Stuff Party.

Stunning! I'm not a quilter, but my mom is. I'm going to send her here as I know she'll enjoy seeing your work.

It is absolutely beautiful! I'm a budding quilter, have a room full of fabric that line 2 walls and REALLY need to get started on the quilts. This is gorgeous! Did you use a pattern or freehand this?

I made this using the traditional pattern: sunshine and shadows. I'd decided to make it by using scraps only....the scrap quilts are my favorite. I like the way the colors work together and prefer not to worry to much with color coordinating.

So happy you like it! Thanks for the encouragement of kind words. Now run to your stash and see what you can do!
